GURPEA GROUP MATERIALIZES ITS GREEN GAS GENERATION AND COMPRESSION PROJECT WITH THE CREATION OF GURPEA GREEN TECH

Gurpea Group puts its green gas generation and compression project into action by setting up Gurpea Green Tech.

The new company, Gurpea Green Tech, aims to lead the market with solutions for the design, integration and maintenance of green gas generation plants at destination, as well as the manufacture of compressors for storage and distribution.

After a year of prospecting, organising the team and developing the technology, Gurpea Group is bolstering its commercial offering of sustainable engineering solutions with the creation of Green Tech, which is making inroads into the oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen generation and compression sector, whose end users are the medicine, automotive, aquaculture, waste water treatment and food sectors, among others.

The aim is to lead an emerging market and one with great potential, covering all phases of the service, from conception and design, through to plant integration and maintenance. It will also be the only company in the sector offering the opportunity to incorporate a high-capacity compression system, manufactured in-house, to optimise the plant’s performance, enabling its gases to be stored and distributed.

We are now able to bring to the market a profitable, sustainable solution for the self-generation of green gases. In particular, companies in the food industry can manufacture in-situ the nitrogen they use in their processes, thus eliminating the vaporisation costs deriving from purchases from third parties who market the gas in its liquid state. This, added to the use of ‘renewable energies’ makes Gurpea Green Tech a competitive and beneficial alternative, both for the company and for the environment.’ Abel Moreno, managing partner at Gurpea Group-, socio – director en Gurpea Group-

In this regard, and being an important sector for the 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy, interested companies can already count on the support of descarbonisation and energy efficiency grants for implementing this type of project, whose average expected amortisation period is between three and four years, which is likely to be shorter if grants are received.

Projects offered and forecast turnover.

Gurpea Green Tech is currently in the middle of the advanced phase in the design and manufacture of its own compressor, this being the main competitive advantage of the new business line as it is the only one on the market.
It has also participated in several investment rounds, in collaboration with H2m, with 'Direct Boost', an R&D&I project for hydrogen stations whose mission is to speed up the immersion of sustainable mobility with hydrogen, as an alternative to the fossil fuels that have been monopolising the market for decades.

Several projects already in the bidding phase, valued at 3 million euros, shared between nitrogen and oxygen plants for the food, hospital and aquaculture sectors.
In this respect, and with a current investment of €530,000, Gurpea Green Tech expects a turnover of half a million euros by 2024.

New needs: installation in containers and traceability.

In response to the dizzying change in the business context and the new emerging needs in the sector, Gurpea Green Tech will integrate the projects, both in plants and in containers, to facilitate their transport, or as a solution to space problems.

Furthermore, our management software integrated in the equipment will facilitate data display and storage, and remote access, for the supervision of data and remote maintenance jobs, which today are vital for the effective optimisation of plants’ performances.

The Gurpea Green Tech mindset

Gurpea Green Tech was set up under the corporate umbrella of the GURPEA GROUP, of which Gurpea and Gurpea Tetrace Mexico are also members, drawing on the support of a set of technology companies specialised in the execution of industrial automation and maintenance engineering projects, which would enable it to face the market with outstanding solutions and the know-how of a team with experience in different sectors.

The Gurpea Green Tech mindset combines its technological vocation with a sustainable future vision, which it approaches with engineering that seeks to use unlimited resources with zero environmental impact in its processes.
